  • Long Live Beerworks | Providence 40R Sprague Street Providence, RI 02907 (map)

Discover the art of storytelling on a ceramic vase using Warli techniques. Create one of a kind ceramic vase while discovering the timeless storytelling tradition of Warli Art, one of India's oldest and celebrated tribal art forms. Originating from the Warli tribe, this beautiful art form uses simple geometric shapes inspired by nature - circles, triangles, and lines to depict everyday life, celebrations, relationships and a deep connection between people and their surroundings. In this hands-on workshop, you'll be introduced to Warli art and its distinctive language to illustrate a story that is uniquely yours. No prior painting experience is needed. You'll be guided step by step by a skilled artist and instructor, while exploring traditional Warli nature-inspired elements to paint the vase of your own. All materials are provided, including a premium ceramic vase, acrylic paints, paint markers, brushes, and design references. Pictures included are for representation, size and shape of the vase might have minor variations at the workshop. If you click 'book now' you can browse the different ticket and vase size options. Note: Traditionally this art is done on terracotta walls with a rice paste, however you will be using acrylic paints/paint markers on a vase instead. By the end of the workshop, you'll take home a beautifully painted vase. I believe every story deserves to be celebrated. Come, reconnect with your creativity, and transform an ordinary vase into a meaningful keepsake that reflects your moment and becomes a meaningful conversation piece in your home.
